Poole’s Cavern is open daily with tours throughout the day. All tours are with our guides on a 45-minute journey through the magnificent underground passages, rich in stalactite and stalagmite formations, legend and history.

Enjoy the visitor's centre and café at the cavern

Our cafe has a wide range of delicious produce including daily specials, light snacks and fair-trade coffee.

The cavern exhibition at the visitor centre covers our extensive history and our rock & gift shop has a wide range of fossils, gemstones and jewellery on offer.

Roam Grinlow Woods and reach Solomon's Temple

We have a park and picnic area, stroll through beautiful woodland trails to the hilltops where the vantage point known locally as Solomon's Temple stands.

We also boast one of Go Ape's highest adventure courses, with zip wires, aerial walkways and much more.

Buxton Country Park

From pre-school to PHD, Poole's Cavern has it all for an educational, fun and stimulating experience.

Poole's Cavern, Go Ape and Buxton County Park are all accessed from Green Lane. The facilities here include:

The cave maintains a constant temperature of 7°C, so please dress accordingly if you plan on visiting for a tour.
