High Peak Residents Event: An Introduction to Cave Conservation Events for Younger People

Places are filling up fast for this exciting opportunity for High Peak residents aged 18-30!

Are you passionate about environmental conservation, caving, geology, geography or simply love trying new things? Join us for new and exclusive FREE sessions at Poole’s Cavern & Country Park, for an introduction to cave conservation!

Dates: Thursday 22nd & Thursday 29th August

Time: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Location: Poole’s Cavern, Buxton, SK17 9DH

What to expect:

Introduction to cave environments and monitoring instruments.

Hands-on tasks for cave conservation, like cleaning cave walls or targeted clean-ups.

Who can attend:

Open to High Peak residents aged 18-30.

Limited to 10 places per session.

Provided:

Helmets, torches, overalls, and gloves.

Light refreshments (please notify us of any dietary requirements).

What to bring:

Bottle of water.

Comfortable, layered clothing (it’s a constant 7°C inside!)

Walking boots (mandatory for participation).

Accessibility:

Poole’s Cavern is more accessible than many caves in the area. Please let us know of any accessibility requirements.
